Hobby turned business
My husband, Kirk makes 18th century furniture, including Windsor chairs, burl bowls and most recently, burl wood wine stoppers. It began as a hobby which then grew into a business that we both love.

Old Dogs
As I stated, I had a great time participating, even if I was a little uncertain at times. Pamela is a great teacher, with the key word there being PATIENT. This program has reminded me that not everyone is able to work at the same pace and level of experience, but in the end, I feel confident that I can tackle a few new tricks!
So far...
So far, I definitely am learning a lot on this "old dog" journey. Yes, some of it is a bit overwhelming for me. One thing I have found is that a certain amount of time has to be spent to thoroughly go through the program. In my case, probably double the time spent is more like it!

Bob cat in our backyard in Windsor
In January, imagine my surprise as I looked out of my kitchen window to see a bob cat devouring a rabbit. Another bob cat sat on the edge of the field watching, and then eventually came down on the lawn and took the rabbit away. At that point they both took off for the wooded area in back of our house. We have seen bear, fox, coydogs, deer, but this was a first for bob cats.

Carra's quilt
I love quilts. They bring warmth and comfort into our lives. This one belongs to my darling 2 year old grand daughter. I hope she thinks of me when cuddling with it!
I am a "bogger in training". So far, I know that I am making it much harder than it needs to be, but I'm doing it, and this actually surprises me. Well, it can only get better, right?

Another from Babblingbrooks
I am currently reading War on the Millde Class by Lou Dobbs and The Art of Mending by Elizabeth Berg. Does anyone out there have any comments on either book?
Thanks.
Thanks.
